No, there is no camping allowed at the beach. The closest campground is only about 10-km away though - it is the Porters' Lake Provincial Park. You can find it easily on the Map to Lawrencetown Beach by dragging it down just a bit. The park is off the Crowell Road on the right hand side of the map.

I have only ever seen the beach actually closed during hurricanes. While the pavilion is only open during the summer months, the parking lots are accessible 24/7. There is always, day or night, 365 days a year, someone here enjoying the beauty of the ocean.
